we are considering buying a fixer-upper. We want a detailed home inspection done by the best person in the Twin Cities. I want a crazy person who is going to do a great job like that guy on HGTV. Any suggestions? Referrals? Thanks!

Hello danielle,

Looks like you are going to have to hire Holmes on Homes because Home Inspectors do not tear out walls to perform inspections. That is called destructive testing and the homeowners generally do not like that.

Holmes on Homes is a television show. He is "supposed" to find problems so he can "surprise" the owners with a new bathroom/kitchen/upstairs/basement/etc. It brings in the viewers. If HoH was like actual home inspections, no one would watch it.

Anyways, if you want the best, just use Yelp or Angies list or some other review site.
