That says a lot.

Anyway, I like to go skiing, sledding, night gazing (I feel like I'm in a wondrous winter wonderland, especially with all the lights from the cities) and etc...

I can't imagine how much I would miss broomball if I ever moved away. Not the organized kind played in indoor rinks with special shoes, schedules, and dues to the city rec dept.

The kind played on a shoveled off lake with homemade goals, beers/sodas frosty from sitting in a snow bank, steady flurries to maintain some traction.

There's nothing quite like taking your buddy down like a prehistoric water buffalo with a perfectly placed javelin-like toss when they think they're alone on a breakaway.

I spent my first 35 years in Minnesota. My favorite things were hockey, X-country skiing, and ice fishing. And our annual "We Made It Through Another Winter" trip to the Caribbean in late March. Ah, the miracle of all those pasty white bodies turning bright red and then tan and then splotchy when the tan peals off. What memories.

That's pretty sad you people have to take advantage of winter more. Enough with the negativity.
The thread is called
"What's your favorite thing to do in the winter in Minnesota?"

This is meant to be a thread to see how we enjoy winter.

Bob, with all due respect, you have to touch up your grammar a bit.

But with regard to your post just above mine, I agree, people need to think positive and be positive when it comes to these alleged dark, dreaded Winters we deal with.

Sure, it gets dark at 4:30 in the afternoon and of course you're going to get cold if you don't keep your hands covered, but seriously, think positive.
