besides, I bought my shoes elsewhere and never at Bloomingdales (they were for the shoe mavens right?)

Both sound like a step down, maybe they should change the new Radisson Blu addition into a Motel 6 while they are at it.

instead of Target I should be asking for Saks Fifth Avenue! or Neiman Marcus lol.
But, I think Target could do well there especially with their guest designers... and they should have a food area, you are right whoever said it, the food court is always packed!

Update in the Trib says that they will fill that spot with 3 retailers so most likely it won't be any other Federated owned stores or "upscale" clothing stores. It will end up being something like they have at Burnsville center with Gordmans on the lower level and D I C K S on the upper level.

While Target is a possibility I just can't see it going over well at a huge shopping mall, lugging your stuff all over the mall. It works in St. Cloud because people just go there for Target but I can't seeing it be an attraction at the MOA??

Target has a presence in malls other places in the nation (I used to be a regular at the one in Wheaton, MD). I think the combination of regular stuff (for those at the mall and needing to buy some basics) plus a focus on the designer stuff (a la their pop-up stores in other cities) could potentially be a good mix. It's an interesting idea!

I thought of that as I typed...."who knows, maybe he is totally serious, many people would love to restock on shotgun shells as they are doing their Christmas shopping...."

So everyone is supposed to like what you like? It's different strokes for different folks.. I don't even like him, I was just saying that not all his lyrics are "guns, guns, kill, kill, rape, drugs, drugs, murder

Where did I even remotely suggest that folks should like what I like?

I'm not sure that the lyrics you cited were much improvement over guns, guns, etc.

For me, tho, the lyrics aren't the failure, but rather the base music form on which the words reside. FWIW, I'm not that into poetry, either ... give me polychoral or baroque classical, piano sonatas, or classic/punk/progressive rock from any era. My ears want complex/rhythmic chords or note sequences and don't care so much about the content...

Quote from the Trib about what is going in at the Bloomie's spot:

Given this environment, finding one retailer to occupy 210,000 square feet, even at a retail property as prominent as the Mall of America, would be a tough sell. That's why the mall opted to recruit five smaller retailers to occupy the space, including four "fashion-forward" retailers that will be new to the region on levels one and two and a "destination value-priced" store on level three.

Curious what the new "fashion-forward" places might be. The destination "value-priced" store is either going to be Kohl's, Target or Walmart.-- since the recruiting company working on his is based in Bentonville, Walmart is iffy but possible, but that might just be coincidence...especially with a newly rebuilt Walmart just down the road.
