So, I'm not completely familiarized with Minneapolis as of yet. Any suggestions for places to take a date to? Restaurants, plays... anything you can suggest would be much appreciated

(On the restaurants note, vegetarian friendly options would be great!)

I'm not sure what your budget is or if by Minneapolis you really mean in the city.

The first place I thought of when I heard vegetarian was Ecopolitan. The restaurant is a raw vegan place and I've heard it's good (though, as I am a meat-eater, I haven't found a reason to really visit at this point).

If you could specify budget and perhaps a few interests, that would be very helpful!

Hey Xandrex, thanks for the reply. As far as budget, I don't really have a strict budget as long as the place is worth what they charge. VERY varied on interests, so art, music, plays... almost anything you can think of and always open to trying something new.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will check Ecopolitan out. Doesn't have to be strictly vegetarian, but vegetarian friendly options being available would be a plus.

I was going to say Applebee's on Block E but it's about 6 months too late.

And if you're going to go to a place as generic as Applebee's, why waste your time getting downtown? There are probably 50 other locations with free parking. If you're going to head downtown, go someplace unique!

For a unique option try Lucy's Ethiopian on Franklin Ave by the river in Minneapolis. The Vegetarian combination plate serves for 2 and is delicious.

I haven't been to Lucy's so I can't comment on that but if you like Ethiopian dish Fasika is worth trying (although I haven't been to it in over two years). It is located near University & Snelling in St. Paul.

St. Anthony Main/Riverfront estabulishments can be a good first date hangout. There is a movie theater, restaurants and when the weather nice outside, couple can take a walk etc.
