I'm just curious... it seems like there are a lot of "born & raised" Minnesotans out there. Has anyone always wanted to leave for another part of the country, but the years have slipped away and you never left?

If so, what held you back in the Twin Cities? Are you still planning on leaving? If so, where do you want to go? Would you ever move back?

Moving from Minneapolis to anywhere else is a downgrade
Unless if you're moving to somewhere in Europe.

Minneapolis and the Twin Cities are perfect, not too big not too small, growing slowly but surely, low crime rate and a short drive away to the Northwoods

I was born in Des Moines, but we moved to Minnesota when I was very little, so I think of myself as a life-long Minnesotan, having been here for just over 30 of my 33 years.

I went to college and bought a house here with my ex, but even so I thought I would move somewhere else eventually, even if only for a few years. It's not that I don't like Minnesota, but I wanted to experience living in other places too.

I'm still here for a couple of reasons. One is that my SO lives here, as do some of my family and friends. Another is that my house is rather underwater, so I can't sell it.

Ive always wanted to move to Minneapolis, but haven't done so yet. I moved to Richfield for a brief amount of time though(I loved it the short time I was there, unfortunately I couldn't stay longer, very long story, personal reasons, etc.) and have moved and lived in 3 other cities outside of the Twin Cities. Im very very very very young so I have plenty of time.
