I'm wondering about the availability of organic foods in regular grocery stores?

We're moving to MN soon. We can buy a pretty good variety of organic foods at a Safeway or Fred Meyer where we are now. Do the regular stores carry a decent organic line?

Thanks!

Cub and Rainbow are the main grocery stores here in the Minneapolis-St Paul area. I have noticed that some Rainbow and Cub locations have a pretty decent sized organic section, some other locations, not so great, but it really varies from store to store. I would recommend the food co-ops though, there are some very nice food co-ops here in this metro area. The Wedge in Minneapolis is one my favorites.

Default The Wedge looks cool

Thanks for the repsone. I'll check out The Wedge once we get there. Seems like I saw that somewhere else as a good option.

Mpls. is swarming with co-ops. There is Linden Hills, The Wedge, Seward, a place on Riverside. I think that is great.

Kowalski's always has a good selection of organic foods, and there's also a Whole Foods Market in Uptown which is totally organic. During the warm months, there's also a good farmer's market. Minneapolitans are a pretty healty lot. You won't have any problem finding the organic food you want.

We are moving out of the Twin Cities in a couple months and I know I'll miss the plentitude of organic groceries. Lunds, Byerlys, Rainbow, Cub, Lakewinds, Natural Foods, Whole Foods (in Minneapolis -- my favorite) all have organic produce, most have free range meat/eggs/milk, and natural foods.

You won't feel out of place with your healthy lifestyle in Minneapolis --
