Hello, my name is Joseph. I am from Jacksonville, Florida, and will be moving to the Twin Cities in December, to work and attend school at UMinn once I gain residency. To keep me from the scrambling around to find a place when I arrive, I would prefer to rent a room (IN A NICE AREA OF TOWN) for 6 months or less being on a month to month basis with $500 being my desired max. This would give me ample time to find a solid job before getting my own place. Ideally a Christian roommate or family would be perfect, although someone that truly respects my beliefs would be suitable as well. If you, or if there is anyone you know that would be willing to help out here, I'd have the green light for my move, and would be ever so grateful.
More on myself- I am a mature 26 year old Christian guy, natural extrovert that truly loves being a people person. I am extremely respectful and very easy to get along with. Some of my interest are sports, cooking, traveling, and fitness and nutrition.
P.S I do have a 12 lb yorkie poo named Riley who is 3 years old, well groomed and trained, if needed he is able to remain solely in my area. Thanks for any consideration

Have you tried Craigslist? That'd be a much larger sample size from which to find people looking for a roommate...

Joseph, I think I would be inclined to agree with Min-Chi on at least checking out Craigslist. Your number of people will likely be limited for what you are looking for. Alternately, have you tried reaching out to any local churches? I realize you may not know many specific churches but you might try looking to your denominations website (i.e.

Home - The Lutheran Church for Lutheran denominations - which are fairly predominate here). You might want to Google something like "Christian roommates" to see if there are websites that cater to pairing roommates with similar religious characteristics.
