Hello everyone, first time poster.

Ok here is the situation, I work in Brooklyn Park by the Comcast office on Winnetka Cir. I've lived in Brooklyn Park for 3 years, I went to brown college in BC.

I've lived in both Point of America and Windsor Gates apartments I'm very familar with Zane AVE. Earlier this year I left Brooklyn Park and moved to New Hope.

I'm currently renting an apartment for $800 a month, recently with the housing being so low I decided to get pre approved and see what is out there.

Sadly Brooklyn Park has the higest # of houses in my price range (112,500) but it's all back on Yates or next to 85th. I'm on the fence if I reallly want ot invest in the area.

I'm legally blind and can't drive the one thing that I love is there is the bus stops right on Brooklyn Blvd that go twards my work and towards Minneapolis. Plus they run 24 hours a day unlike New Hope it only runs six or seven hours a day.

I've found many town homes for 80 - 100 thousand dollars but I'm worried about when I go to resell will I get the same amount or less because the area is undesirable.

I've got a clean 5 year rental history I don't have a problem renting but it's getting tough because I'm tiring of the apartment scene.

my biggest problem is I CAN'T DRIVE so my area of moving is limited and having such a low amount of money doesn't help either.

I've looked in BP, MG, NH, Crystal, Golden Valley and Plymouth and I'm not fiding too much.

I've found some very nice town homes but all are located on Yates AVE and I lived there. I've had no problem with crime but I agree with many folks on here that the gas station on Yates YOU DON'T GO TO.

I went into the platinum cuts to get a haircut and was the only white boy in there and everyone looked at me like WTF are you doing here!?!.

I'm torn on what to do I'm familiar with the area and I know they've tried getting newer shops and stuff in the area to help it out but the same scum that come from Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center will always ruin the city unless you live on the north side which no buses run or very few buses run.

Thanks everyone I Know this is kind of long.
