It's on par with Oakland in general ghettoness. There's more beggers than I've ever seen anywhere. It's dirty. Very few good restaurants. It's just as expensive as CA. The weather is always awful. It's either insanely cold, or ridiculously hot, and swamp like. The people are two faced. Minnesota nice means Minnesota passive aggressiveness. And let's not forget the hordes of somalis, which are violent, rude, dangerous drivers, and a general burden to society.

I actually agree that it is kind of crusty here. There's some nice neighborhoods but large patches of the city look like something you'd see in Winnipeg or Milwaukee.

I always wonder about people who say that it looks nice or that it has good architecture. There's a reason every promo photo is the same pic of the stone arch bridge looking into downtown. What I find weird is there are places that are still basically boarded up from when I first lived here almost 20 years ago. Like the building across from Electric Fetus, or the one kitty corner from Sex World.

It gets very hot and humid here in the summer. It's not constant but we always have several stretches of 90+ temps.

This is largely true, but you guys also have a lot of summer days with highs in the 70's. I miss that.

Summer days are rarely in the 70s in the Twin Cities after mid-June. Most are about 80-85º and sunny.

The summers are not 'hot.' There are some hot stretches every summer. To me a 'hot' summer is consistent 90s and humidity or 100s and dry.

Actually days like today are what I hate most about living in Minneapolis.

Actually they are usually oppressively humid. At least large portions of them tend to be.

I joke around with people that we really usually get maybe one to two months a year of "perfect" days - perfect, comfortable weather. In my opinion.

As an almost lifelong Floridian (who also spent a few summers in North Carolina), I find it absolutely hilarious that people find it oppressively hot and humid here in the summer. In NC, it was routinely over 100* with nearly 100% humidity and bugs the size of birds-- FL isn't as hot, but it was routinely in the low 90s with nearly 100% humidity and daily rainstorms that would decrease visibility to 0 (and render umbrellas useless as it would rain sideways).

The weather here is far from perfect, but late spring until early fall is pretty damn close.
