Hello! Thanks for your help. We are heading back to MN and we are so excited but I need help. I am looking for the BEST schools for our kids in the Burbs that is number one to me. We have two girls 6 and 8. They are in a lot of sporting activities so need to be close to dance studios, gymnstics.. We need family friendly neighborhood. Great homes with some amenities and would be great. Close to shopping would be great! We are very active, are very social and like to have fun. I had heard Eagan, Shoreview, Hastings, Dellwood. My husband will be working in Hudson, WI. Thanks for any input.

I would focus on Woodbury, Stillwater and Mahtomedi if he is working in Hudson. They are all pretty upscale communities and have a lot of amenities in and near those towns. Depending on the kind of dance, Stillwater has a very well run, very successful ballet company that kids from Stillwater, Mahtomedi and Woodbury all attend. They have produced several professional dancers over the years. Your lifestyle sounds very "Stillwater" so I would start looking there. All 3 districts are very good, Mahtomedi being the best of the 3 but on my mythical scale of MN schools, Mahtomedi ranks 99 out of 100 where Stillwater and Woodbury are 98's.

The other communities you have mentioned are nice, but much longer commutes.
