I tried to find info on this neighborhood in the archives of this forum but it gets mixed up with the Highland neighborhood in St. Paul.

Here's what I think I know - the neighborhood is in N Mpls and was formerly "bad", is being gentrified, but is close to areas that are still bad. Is this correct?

Would I be able to safely park my ratty old van on the street? Could I walk the dog around a few blocks in the early evening without having issues? Are there accessible grocery stores/libraries that are in good condition? If I were to ride the bus going from that neighborhood into downtown would I be safe? Would I be listening to sirens all night long? And etc.

I couldn't figure out where this was but learned it's the part of Near North bounded by Plymouth Ave, W. Broadway, Aldrich, and Girard. I can't add much but found the article below. Unfortunately, it's a typical Strib puff piece.
