1) I look for clean water
2) I’m very good swimmer and would like to sprint like 50 or 100 m crawl
3) I would like swim where is not guard at duty and no that floating limit or how is name of that ting.
Square lake is nr 1 but is far away. I’m in Fridley area. I heard Big lake have second cleanest water. Where else to go?

For some reason, Cedar lake in Minneapolis is a swimming hotspot. I think because it's not a sailing lake like Calhoun, a lot of hardcore swimmers use this lake to train by swimming across it. In the summer when I'm out fishing on my canoe, you see scores of people swimming in the middle of the lake. Not my idea of a good time, but they probably look at me with my fishing poles and canned beer and think "hillbilly", so I guess everybody likes different things.

The beaches are pretty nice (there are 3) and the water is clean (although, it's not northern MN lake clean).

I was yesterday at Cedar like. To busy. I will stay above 694 as evidently lakes below are packed. Parking is not easy too.
