Anyone know a really good home cleaning service that serves St Paul (St Anthony Park area)? I just moved into a 120+ year old house and it is waaaay dirty. I'm in need of some professional cleaning help to get it livable. Looking for a service willing to do general move-in type cleaning, including the basement and also some radiators that look like they have spawned dust bunnies from hell (I don't think they have been cleaned, ever, as far as I can tell). Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Just hired someone from the maid brigade, we'll see how it goes (unfortunately they won't clean an unfinished basement, though). On a related note, how common are mouse problems in older homes in the area? Common, or did I just get unlucky? We found mouse poop in various places around the house and are hiring a pest guy to look into it, but with how old the house is, I doubt he can close up all the possibly entry points. Should I resign myself to cohabitating and throw them welcome party, or is it possible to keep them out?

Try a company like ServiceMaster for the basement. They do a lot of restoration cleaning after fires, etc.
