I guarantee Atlanta will be the front runner. It certainly is the trend these days.

Congrats to Minneapolis on its 2nd Super Bowl host selection (first was 1992)!! FYI: When it comes to hosting Super Bowls, Indianapolis, Detroit, and Minneapolis are the Midwest's pace setters. Chicago has never hosted it and has not yet been selected to host it in the near future.

you know, this means a gigantic ice palace for the St Paul Winter Carnival to coincide with the festivities, I think the last big one was built in '92 for that Super Bowl.

LEDs have come a long way since then.

also recall that soon after we got the Super Bowl the NCAA awarded the Final 4 Mens Basketball Tourney to the Dome. Minneapolois is one of 8 finalists to host the men's tourney in 2017 to 2020 whose bids are also due this month which will be decided in Indianapolis this November.

Congrats. Now pass some open container laws or set up the Nicollet mall as a festival ground, so people can congregate and have fun.

February remember (winter)

MOA will probably be the place to be for Super Bowl activities.

It's interesting to me just how hard many folks in New Orleans are taking the news. I've interacted with a few posters at Nola.com (The New Orleans Picayune website) over the last couple of hours, and there seems to be a lot of animosity directed at Minneapolis--most of it taking the usual form of weather stereotypes and suggestions of Minneapolis being unable to host a "big" event. On the other hand, people in Indianapolis seem far more polite and gracious about the outcome. I think that many people in New Orleans thought it was a done-deal for their city.
