I would buy Dayton's Bluff and Payne-Phalen in St. Paul. Those areas have too much going for them to not be desirable soon.

Lyndale neighborhood in Minneapolis. It's already been steadily on its way up for some time now, but I think it's going to continue to rise in popularity (and price), and the area around Nicollet is really going to take off if they can ever get that Kmart moved and Nicollet reopened.

Also, the area around Raymond Avenue LRT station in St. Paul. Or honestly, anywhere along the Green Line.

I think portions of Richfield are a good bet, especially locations near 66th and Lyndale or 66th and Penn.

I would go with Dayton's Bluff, too. I love that area!

I'd buy Hopkins. Sell Edina.

Seconded. That was going to be my input, too. I predict Northeast will be the "new Uptown" in 10 years, now that Uptown is getting so built up with high-end housing.

I'd sell the entire Twin Cities and surrounding areas as a whole and buy into a quiet small town up north, or in southeast or southwest Minnesota.

Yep, I would also buy NE Minneapolis. And I did! Haha. We bought our house here and just moved in 2 weeks ago. Things are great! I love it.

Powderhorn Park. It is cheap now but is starting to develop the same vibe as Uptown in the '80s. The presence of weirdos and creative types is usually the first sign of coming gentrification.

Northeast has been up and coming for about 25 years now but it never seems to gentrify, I think it is because a lot of the housing so ugly. It is the land of vinyl siding on tiny, featureless houses. It is cheap enough to get the artists there but the yuppies have never followed. In many ways I think it is a good thing because it makes it a refuge for a community that tends to get gentrified out of the places it moves to.
