My first year here (about 5 years ago) was 10/4.

It's supposed to warm up this next week and get up to the mid 70's at one point. It has been a cool year though. Probably early-mid October?

It's hard to say. It's going to warm up a little bit this week, and it's not that unusual to get 80+ days into October. But it could go either way; we certainly could get some flurries at least next month.

I sincerely hope not until November. I am crossing my fingers that we warm up again and don't get down to these temps until post-Halloween! Yes, I realize that is likely wishful thinking.

The avg first snowfall has typically been around Nov 18 to 21 depending on if the data is being taken from Chanhassen or the airport. The earliest snowfall for Mpls appears to be Sept 26th (1942), the next earliest appears to have been Oct 10th.

I did see some reported Twin Cities 1st snow from last year on Oct 19th but the official date for last year was Nov 5th.

sayyyy...does anyone remember that Haloween Blizard in 1991? Uff-Da!

I remember that one. Lived near Rochester. Ice and snow + trick-or-treating. Oof.
