yall don't understand. this is what ive been waiting. everyone doesnt what a real water ice is. people think its an icee and it's not. to me, a water ice has more flavor. ive been to a few events here in minnesota and they sell this crap called shaved ice. im sorry shaved ice is nothing more than a piece of ice with coloring on it.

I live in Lakeville and Eagan is relatively close to me, so I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

I see where Dunkin' Donuts is actually a reincarnation of my beloved Mr. Donut (66th & Penn). Of course Mr. Donut was wayyyyyy better tho.

I'm not an ice expert, but Rita's isn't shaved ice -- it's Italian ice. The fruit/syrup is put in before or during the making, and not after, vs the snow cone type of shaved ice you typically find around here, where the flavoring is added to the already frozen shaved ice. I think both can be good when done right, but they really are different techniques with different outcomes.
