Went to target last night thinking things would be different but they carry these thin gloves which dont help in the cold at all. What's the best store to stack up on AFFORDABLE winter accessories.(im not trying to pay $30 dollars for a pair of gloves) i prefer to get everything at one store compared to going to 3 different places

Try Amazon. After my experience yesterday, I will no longer shop at Target for anything I can get elsewhere. I am not all surprised to hear you didn't find the gloves you want there. Were they cute at least? Because that seems to be Target's main concern.

I've found Fleet Farm to be one of the best places to get winter gear. I also got some snow pants from Walmart last year that helped on some of those really cold days -- it seems like their winter clothing is more practical/functional vs. the winter apparel Target carries. They also have more things like heavy duty socks, thermal underwear, etc.

What was your negative experience at Target, could you share, if this is not against TOS? Thanks,

Last year we got winter gear at a kiosk in Southdale. Prices were good, selection was extensive, and they had everything for kids to adults. Much better than Target, and honestly, I think the prices were around the same. I haven't noticed if the cart is there this year, but I'm pretty sure he's there every year.

Fleet Farm has quality cold weather gear. They carry very utilitarian, solid gear. I get my boots there.

Gander Mountain and Cabela's also carry quality gear.

Go for the hunting/ice fishing gear, as they are designed to keep people warm for hours while outside.

With that said, I bought the best pair of deer skin choppers at the MN State Fair for $20.

There is a Fleet Farm in Chaska at 212 and Jonathan Carver Parkway, and also one in Brooklyn Center at 169 and Bottineau.
