I was just wondering what everyone knows about Argosy University - Twin Cities. I will be going there for Psychology soon, I've heard they have a great Psychology program (Argosy was combined in a merger of three schools, one being the MN School of Professional Psychology) and was curious as to what else people knew about the Psychology program there and the university in general.

Thanks

I think they used to be Bryman Institute. I think the name change happened in the last year or so.

Haven't heard much about Argosy, but they are a chain. Why are you choosing them and not another TC college?

I've heard many good things about their psych program. Super small class sizes, great professors. Not sure about Bryman institute, but I know Argosy was formed in a merger of three schools...

Well, if you like their program then that is all that matters as you are the one who will be attending. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that it really doesn't matter where you get your undergrad in psychology, but where you attend grad school. That is because psychology is one of the few degrees that is almost purely academia.

I am very well aware of that fact, but the school I was at earlier had a Psych program based more in research/experimentation than Clinical Psychology, which is what my ultimate goal is...thanks for the thoughts and advice

Default Use caution with Argosy

Lady,

Check out this before you enroll...

Argosy University Online - Online Degree Reviews (http://www.onlinedegreereviews.org/college/argosy-university-online/ - broken link)

Argosy is a private, for-profit business. As such their objective is to deliver as little as a buyer (the student) is willing to accept for as much as they are willing to pay. Be skeptical of Argosy's marketing machine which will not give you an accurate picture of their school. Talk to current students and graduates and not those who have been hand-picked by Argosy.

Good luck!

I didn't read the link, but I can tell you that all colleges, private and public only put out so much for the students-regardless of how much the student paid. Regardless of where you go it is always up to you-the student-to get the most out of it.

I am pretty sure that all schools exaggerate their image.

hey i'm planning on applying there, but the one in Chicago, to do my masters in marketing. It doesn't require me to take the GMAT and i honestly can't seem to find my way thru the GMAT exam so i was wondering if this is a good university and is it accredited?
