Are there any live-work lofts like A-Mill or Carleton Lofts for artists that are not income restricted?

Preferably in Minneapolis.

There are plenty of market-rate lofts around. Or are you looking for ones that rent or sell exclusively to artists?

I want one that is zoned live-work and isn't in downtown St. Paul.

Have you looked into the Lyric? I'm admittedly not very familiar with it, but thought it was the luxury non-restricted companion to Carleton. (Not Minneapolis, of course, but so close...)

You could check with Springboard, too; they can probably rattle off a list.

I think the Schmitt Brewery lofts have part of them reserved for such.
But that is border line St. Paul
Close to Minneapolis

I think Schmitt is income restricted.

Lyric is nice, but I'm not sure they have what I'm looking for. Usually in those types of buildings, only the 1st floor "commercial" street facing units are live work. However, I guess that setup would work if available. I just need it to be live-work so the guys I have working for me can come in there without us getting kicked out of the place. I actually don't think there are many (any?) such units available anymore. I have only seen 1 listed in 12 months, at the Lime of all places. There used to be a bunch in the warehouse district, before it all got renovated and yuppified.

There are those lofts in downtown St. Paul.
Where the Black Dog Cafe coffee place is.
I don't know the name of them.
If you call Black Dog I bet they could tell you.

It's the Great Northern, which is in St Paul (Lowertown) and the OP is not really looking for St Paul locations...but, I remember emailing them directly about apartment availability a long time ago. It used to be artist-restricted but no longer is (or at least it wasn't at the time, this was 4-5 yrs ago). Might be worth sending them an email.

Great Northern are nice but they are just residential condos, I don't think you can run a business out of them.
I don't need it to be artist restricted, just not income restricted. Plus, I don't want to be in St. Paul.
The A-Mill lofts are what I'm looking for but you have to be poor to live there.
