My husband and I would qualify to live here:

Commerce Building

We are in our mid-30's, no children. Safety is very important because we both have physical disabilities. We like a urban feel with things to do within walking distance (speaking of that - how are the sidewalks? Snow removal?)

Any input you have would be appreciated, thank you!!!

**Can you also help me out about an apartment in Woodbury, thank you //www.city-data.com/forum/minne...l#post38740913

If you want to live in the center of the city, this would be a good choice. I don't see safety as being an issue. The sidewalks and crosswalks would be quickly cleaned after snowfall.

The Woodbury location would be safe as well, but a totally different suburban atmosphere. There wouldn't be much, if anything, within walking distance. Does Woodbury have any sidewalks?

Heart of downtown St. Paul, so it's definitely urban, but a lot more compact than downtown Minneapolis. Pretty convenient with a light rail stop a couple blocks away, the river, museums, parks, sports and concert venues all nearby. You can get around in the skyway system as well (they clear the sidewalks, but there is ice to contend with in winter). There's only one grocery store downtown (Lunds) but it's only one train stop away. I can't really speak to Woodbury, other than it's a large suburb east of St. Paul, so you'd need to drive a lot more to get places.
