Here is a 2015 map of Average Life expectancy in the USA:

Minnesota, especially southern MN ranks very well
So does Northern CO and Hawaii
Austin TX metro, parts of DFW good too
South FL and Coast of CA rank well

Not sure if there's any correlation, but there is a fairly renowned medical institution right smack dab in the middle of that dark purple region ...

they can keep someone alive down there for a thousand years if they got enough money...that helps the batting avg.

It's because it's so cold here that viruses cannot survive for too long outdoors, for 6 months out of the year. We wear gloves when we shake hands outside in the winter. Even the moisture droplets from when we breathe get frozen before they can travel too far.

Then, factor in we stay inside for most of the 6 months, and cannot catch things to kill us.

It's probably genetic. Southern MN has towns where 87% of the people descended from original Norwegian settlers to MN. The same group seems to live quite long in North Dakota, too.
