I like the idea of some kind of a net over the roof, but it would have to be easy to put up and take down because you don't want it up there in the winter.

How about a carpet remnant or even indoor/outdoor carpet on the roof over the bedroom area? I would put it down with screws so if you ever take it off you could just seal the screw holes with a little roofing caulk.

I would think that would deaden the sound of the acorns.

You seem to have reasons more important than getting the sleep you say you want why most suggestions won't work. I guess you're stuck, though you do have my sympathies.

Like others have said, you need to build a pitched roof using 2x4's, a tarp, and a staple gun. Place it on your roof on the side where your bedroom is.

The squirrels have nothing at all to do with the trees dropping nuts. They'll fall off when they're ripe.

I can't cut the trees down, there are about 6 of them, and it isn't my property to mess with anyway. I told the caretakers about it, they just said it happens to everyone, they can't cut all the trees in the park down.

The trees are way too high to tie anything to, even with my super soaker squirting squirrel repellent I could only get to the bottom of the trees. They are a hundred feet tall at least.

It's actually calmed down lately, I found out oak trees all drop their acorns and junk (brown heavy things that aren't acorns too, I have no idea what those are) and chunks of branches, all summer long. Since it's almost fall now, I think most of them have fallen, I actually got a full 7 hours of sleep last night for the first time since May. I also saw something that was green and looked like an apple but with a hard crusty shell on it, those are falling too! I may have to find somewhere else to live by next summer.

They have all fallen off now, but it was the squirrels, I caught them in the act. It was always starting when the sun came up, and I got up to see what was happening and there were 2 squirrels going back and forth from tree to tree and into their hole to put the nuts in there. Then it would stop once it got dark every night.

It's physically impossible to do anything but spray repellent and put up an owl statue, which I did. It helped a little, I think, but that was right around the same time the nuts were all gone anyway. Now I haven't heard any for a few days and finally got a full nights sleep (days sleep I should say, lol)

There is nothing on the other side to tie it to though. All the trees are on one side only. The other side is where my shed is but it's shorter than my trailer.

That's what I was going to do until everyone told me you can't put something down like that onto a mobile home roof, it'll hold water and it will start to rot and leak into the trailer. They have to stay as dry as possible up there with air getting around freely to dry off the roof. It's a flat one, not peaked.
