I've done a fair amount of searching for this and haven't found anything, so I probably already have my answer...

But what I'm wondering is whether there are any engineering companies around the Twin Cities area that deal specifically with and are directly involved in the space industry.

I'm not really looking for companies that occasionally subcontract or partner with companies that do this -- just those (like NASA, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, etc.) that are in the thick of it.

There was a Lockheed-Martin building in Eagan, but I noticed it sold a year or two ago. I'm clueless about these companies and having any presence here.

Thanks for that. I guess I should have specified that I'm looking for something that deals more with the structures and mechanical engineering aspect, not so much the control systems/electrical engineering side.

But maybe there's opportunity there as well.

Lockheed moved a bunch of engineering jobs out a few years ago. There are still some pockets of programmers here, working remotely, but the engineering jobs left town (mostly Virginia, New York San Diego):

Look in the Sea-Tac area

Aerospace is not a major industry here, but healthcare and medical manufacturing is (Manufacturing Engineers are highly successful here)
