SLP and Edina can't both be compared to the same thing. They are pretty different.

There are some parts of Hyland Park that may be an option.

Someone else mentioned looking at average income for an area. While that might help it doesn't give the total picture of an area. There are parts of the city that have a higher than average education level but not high incomes. Those are not blue collar type neighborhoods but are usually younger educated people or people that work in fields that are not high paying.

For shopping areas Ridgedale and Southdale would be somewhat comparable to Mayfair.
One of my friends lives in the Prior Lake area, we often go to West Bloomington. West Bloomington Reminds me more of Brookfield. Wauwatosa has homes that are much older, 20s, 30s and 40s. There is a little downtown with shops and such also.

Would be interesting to see a similar map with various median debt levels:

- total debt per HH (including mortgage and educational loans)
- mortgage per HH
- educational loans per HH
- consumer debt per HH (w/o mortgage or educational loans)
- revolving credit debt per HH

and then a map that pulls all together.

I suspect if all consumer loans (no primary mortgage or edu loans), there would be serious panic in my neighborhood.

Yeah. This is just yearly income not necessarily wealth. Although they do tend to correlate.

If you are looking for homes of that era more identical to Tosa you want Edina around 50th and France.

I have been to Wauwatosa several times and the feeling I get when I visit is something like 50th and France in Edina or maybe excelsior and grand and the surrounding minekada vista neighborhood of St. Louis Park.

What about the Lyndhurst and Tangletown area. Those seem somewhat in line with price.

I used to live in Wauwatosa on 72nd and Center while in college (blue collar friend [electrican] owned a nice duplex) I would say St Louis Park, eastern Edina, and southwest Mpls area would be similar housing/neighborhood wise. But it's going to be a higher in price point.
