I have a unique opportunity where I have 2 job offers one in Minnesota and the other in Virginia. So I wanted to see if there was someone out there that was from Virginia who relocated to MN. I wanted to get their thoughts on living in MN and which they like better MN or Virginia?

I've been living in Alexandria, VA for the past 3 months and am moving back to MN for 3 months. I love both states, just can't stand the Minnesota winters. I like both states but for different reasons. The people, though, are pretty much the same. I find they are both friendly. Minnesotans, though, do take a littler longer to warm to you, but when they do, they'd give you the shirts off their backs. I had a good friend drive me 3 hrs LaCrosse in a blizzard in order to buy a car at an auto auction. That was after I used his car and it broke down. The first winter I lived in MN, the next door neighbors left cookies on my dining room table and the neighbors across the way gave my family gifts for Christmas.
