Has anyone else noticed a decline, or no Morning Doves?

I use to hear them every morning.
Such a peaceful sound they have.

Was a great way to start my day, drinking coffee and listening to the Morning Doves.

I am wondering why the disappearance.

Ours don't even migrate anymore. We have about 15 that stay close by.

You know, I was just wondering this the other day. I have a number of bird feeders in my yard so I sort of take note of these things We have tons of kinds of sparrows, finches, cardinals, woodpeckers......... but I can't say I've seen (or heard) a single Mourning Dove since moving to our new house.

My pair of Mourning Doves seem to be missing this year. Hopefully they'll be along.

Hummingbirds are plentiful this year. Some years we'd get one that becomes territorial but it is open feeding this season.
