What are the safe areas of the Minneapolis-st paul area and its suburbs? Also, what is the rent like in these areas? If I see a 2 bedroom apartment in the area for $550-$750 should I assume that it is in a bad neighborhood? As far as the suburbs go, which towns are safe and provide train access to the city?

A quick review of your posting history seems to show you asking basically the same two questions around safety and train access for cities such as Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago, Cleveland etc. Which leads me to question the sincerity of why you ask. Care to elaborate why you have asked these same couple of questions about different cities?

I'm looking to move somewhere out of state(I currently live in Illinois) I'm looking to get a fresh start and don't want to move to a bad area unknowingly. Public transportation is also a big factor in my decision as well as rent cost.

Looks like your train question was answered when you posted in July.

Somebody please prove me wrong but I don’t believe there are any 2 bedroom apartments available in the Twin Cities for $750/month or under. Realistically you’ll probably need to up your budget to at least $1100-1200 and even then you may be pushing it.

$550-750 would barely get you a studio, even in lower income areas.

550 -750 wouldn't even get you a Corner to Panhandle (all taken).

If you see that rent advertised, it's more than likely a scam.

The new scam I noticed they started doing this summer was bringing a baby or young kid sitting down next to women. I watched a family pull up in somewhat newer mini van and get out, pulled a cooler and walked over to an exit off of 36 and White Bear Ave in Maplewood.

I’ve noticed this too! There is a young couple that has a similar set-up in South Minneapolis off a 35W exit. The parents appear to be healthy. Meanwhile there are tons of local businesses with ‘now hiring’ signs...I don’t get it.

I think I saw it today on the northwest corner of 35w and 46th. All of them I’ve seen in this scam have been healthy and dressed well. What great parents that are teaching their young kids.
