Police don't "run away" from anything - that is not their job, literally. You do realize they were ORDERED to stand down, or have you literally been on another planet the last 6 weeks?

Lol at the "white supremacist" poke. Sweet mother...

“Letting thousands of people”? What should they have done? Difficult to control thousands of people no matter the size of the national guard and police presence.
I have yet to see any proof that the violence in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis etc was caused by so-called white supremacists. There have been reports that the Boogaloo Boies, some kind of loosely organized right wing militia, have thrown a few bricks or firebombs to get the fun started, then melt away.

However there are similar, more credible reports that antifa is behind most of the violence. In fact there's one or two ex-antifa explaining their strategy: pretend to be with the mainstream peaceful protesters, try to lead them away from the planned route in order to maximize clashes with the police, stage boxes of bricks and bats to arm people with at opportune moments, and get the violence going.

The useful idiots, i.e. the "mostly peaceful protesters" the mainstream media are always talking about, are easily manipulated.

In my opinion, all illegal actions should be met with arrest. Those people with illegal lasers -- the kind that cause permanent blindness -- should be shot dead. The ones screaming and cursing at the cops should be arrested for disobeying police orders, disturbing the peace, threatening an officer of the law, and a dozen other charges that they can think of. And lock them up for days, weeks, or months.

You don't calm the streets down by withdrawing the police, and letting these various groups run rampant. That's not what works with uncivilized louts and indoctrinated fools. What works is to forcefully shut them down -- tear gas, rubber bullets, and mass arrests. Make them uncomfortable, make the understand this is real life, not a video game. And the ones with the lasers, who blinded those three federal officers, they are the lowest of the low.

This whole subject makes me angry.

Minneapolis Office of Violence Prevention wants to fund an unarmed civilian patrol instead of police. They were funded 1.1 million for this. If this works, I'll be shocked.

A nice little clip of Antifa troublemakers being welcomed to South Dakota.

Good thing for THEM that the police weren't de-funded there.

The basic function of the police is to protect criminals from vengeance and ensure they receive due process under the law. Citizens have always been able to mete out a frontier type justice absent any police intervention.

Good one!

The same thing happened in Fort Collins, CO. The Pantie-fas and BLM thugs went into a neighborhood to cause trouble and got their butts kicked.

Guess what, we can't watch the video because it violated the Twitter Rules.

Apparently the rules state that only leftists beating up conservatives are allowed. No issues in finding those videos to watch.

Eight north Minneapolis residents have filed suit against the city over the spike in crime claiming that the actions of city leaders have contributed to the unsafe conditions in their neighborhood. While the movement to dismantle MPD has wide support in parts of lily white south Minneapolis, it’s the neighborhoods of BIPOC that will be hit hardest by this hare-brained idea.

I'm surprised it's not more. Should be a class action suit of thousands of plaintiffs, and a recall action against the mayor and most of the city council. Throw these incompetent idiots out and get a functional government, as soon as possible. They can't afford to wait until whenever their terms are up. The city won't exist in a year or two.

In another major accomplishment for the mayor and city council, Minneapolis has already had more murders in 2020 (49) than we had in all of 2019. With 4-1/2 months to go, the sky’s the limit for our city’s leadership.
