The Ford Plant in St.Paul is hiring line workers, go to to the front security desk and ask for Labor Relations. Tell them you would like to apply and that you were told from an employee to come apply. They are not hiring through unemployment agencies.

That's cool of you to share with everyone, but what if they ask "which employee"?

Does that mean they they are hiring people so they can fire them in a couple years, or are you implying what I think you are?

The Ranger is the number 1 selling small truck right now. They went down to one shift and now they are thinking of starting up the second shift.

When my husband gets home I will put some employee names on here, only through DM. They do not ask the employee if they referred anyone, if you have an employee name, they know that you know, that they are hiring and not someone randomly applying. We heard they will not acknowledge they are hiring to the general public.

I thought they were shutting down the Ford Plant in St. Paul?? There is a big battle over what to do with that land.

The land was never sold. There is no battle, there was only guessing on what would go there when or if Ford sold it.

The Ranger is the best selling small truck in it's class because it is the ONLY truck in it's class. That ridiculous statement (that I've heard many car salesman try to use) implies the Ranger outsells the Colorado, Tacoma, Frontier, and the like - but those are all mid-size trucks and not in the Ranger's compact class. And all (except the frontier) outsell the Ranger. The Tacoma probably out sells the Ranger on the order of 3 to 1.

The Ford plant in St. Paul is still closing - just a little later than originally anticipated. The Ranger just had it's life span temporarily lengthened from increased sales due to it's better fuel economy than it's full-size counter parts.

yeah you're going to have to break this down a bit. Why would they not advertise the hiring if they need workers, and why would it only be amongst those referred?

Ford has always had a friend and family hire policy. My husband has worked for Ford for 22 years. I am not on here to battle wits with any naysayers. Just stating a fact...Ford is hiring. He put in two names last week and they already have interviews set up.
