Hey all, just found this site figured i would try and poll your minds.

I am being relocated to the bloomington/richfield area for work. We are looking for the best resource for looking for rentals in the area, we've checked craigslist and just wanted to see if there is another popular local classified listing in the area.

Thanks in advance.

Depending on what kind of place you are looking for, there are local papers that would be your best resource, especially if you are looking for a house to rent. This one Sun Newspapers - MNSUN.com has local news and ads for several communities. Many people just put a sign up on a street corner too.

What qualities/amenities are you looking for, and how long a commute are you willing to tolerate?

The Star Tribune is the local news paper (also St. Paul Pioneer Press), so you'll find listings there. Also, try the City Pages for house/duplex/small apartment rentals in south Minneapolis. www.startribune.com , www.pioneerpress.com , www.citypages.com

If you're more comfortable living in one of those really big faux-luxury apartment complexes that dot the suburbs (I personally hate them), there's a publication called "For Rent" that has a lot of those type of listings. They have a website that I just found: www.forrent.com

There's also a place called Apartment Search, www.apartmentsearch.com , which the landlord pays a comission to for placement, but I'm not sure if it's the same Apartment Search that I used once back in early 2000. (Maybe they expanded, or got bought out?)
