Hey all! My boyfriend and I are planning on moving out of horrible and hot Phoenix, AZ. We have thought about a variety of states and places, but Minneapolis seems like out best bet. We both have family in the upper Midwest, so it would be a good thing.

We will both be continuing schooling up there and will be working part-time.

Here is the problem; we don't have much money! We don't mind living in a small little place or even some place in the suburbs. Any advice in this area? Thanks in advance!

The suburbs won't necessarily be cheaper, as there are fewer apartments and you will pay for more square footage and amenities like pools. Generally, apartments on both ends of the spectrum (cheap - expensive) will be found in Minneapolis. You might consider renting a house or part of a house from a private party for the most bang for your buck.
