i've lived here 9 months and don't know much about the parks yet. my girlfriend and i love going to parks to grill a few burgers when the weather is nice, can anyone recommend some good spots with grills and picnic tables provided? preferably a somewhat secluded location away from roads and freeways, which can ruin the experience. thanks

I seem to remember there is a small one in Excelsior right on the lake shore - can't remember the name of it though

The Main Street Riverfront has grills at the foot of the Stone Arch. Lots of pedestrians, but not loud. You may also try at Minnehaha Park.

Powderhorn Park is another option and pretty close to Uptown.

For in-town, try Ft Snelling State Park. For an easy drive and a beautiful setting, try Afton State Park.

Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet in Minneapolis have some great spots for grilling and of course they have picnic tables.
