I love Heavy Table. And if you don't care for that blog for some reason, they've got a ton of links to other blogs on their site you can look at.

Andrew Zimmern did an episode of Bizarre Foods in Minnesota, and stopped in the TC area for the fair and he made a stop at Olsen Fish Company, where lutfisk is made. Lutfisk is more popular in MN than in Scandinavia. Alot of the foods at the fair in St. Paul included Snickers bar fried on a stick, a Reuben sandwich fried on a stick corn-dog style. There is also lefse too. There are some interesting things in the TC area if you know where to go.

Just judging from everyone's opinion, do you think Anthony Bourdain would do an episode of No Reservations in Minnesota? If you think so, what kind of animation do you think would be on the intro(the viewer discretion warning)?
Minnesota has some interesting finds. Wild rice soup, lutfisk, Bar Abilene(as I mentioned), and some other interesting things. The TC should be interesting. More in the TC than most people hear about. Perhaps being under the radar as a foodie town would make the Mpls-St Paul area even more interesting, at least for me.

Zimmern stopped in Minnesota? Does that mean he does not live there anymore?

I know he lives in St. Paul. I think I should have worded it as "he did an episode in MN".

Do you remember when he would be on KMSP in the mornings? That was the best show. His trip around the state fair back in 2000 with MJ was too fuuny.

I didn't even know who Andrew Zimmern was until 2007.
