My advice would be to take up your folk' offer of free living by getting a job in St Cloud while you are attending college/trade school.

Much better to get some post secondary education/training before you head to the metro.

The economy will turn around, and your plan on living in the metro and having an apartment will work much better if you have the education/training for a job with a higher wage.

Nothing wrong with working at " big box" stores, but your future will be a lot better if you have additional education/training to check out other options if the " big box" metro stores doesn't pay enough to meet your expectations/needs.

i wouldn't recommend it to be honest.

if you want to live down here, i'd just move here...the rush hour traffic on 94 near Rogers, etc. is absolutely terrible!

Plus, it's not THAT much more to live in the cities compared to MPLS, and the gas you'd use would more than likely make up that difference.

It would be easier for you to meet ppl if you lived down here too.

Thanks, and I have been thinking as well and it would be better to just move down here, and I have driven through rogers and such during rush hour and it is indeed terrible. I been looking on craigslist couple times every day and studios are a lot cheaper then I thought they were.
