It may be hard to believe after this past season, but the Gopher's Men's Hockey team won the NCAA national championship in 2002 and 2003. In addition, the Women's Hockey team at the U of M took the national championship in 2000, 2004, and 2005

Oh yeah, I should have thought about that!!!

Well, I guess usually the NCAAs I take into consideration are Football and Basketball as they usually get those most social and media exposure.

I'm just waiting for my Huskies to bring in a championship, gotta beat them Badgers tomorrow.

Gophers haven't one a NCAA tournament game in over 20 years. (1997 didn't count because they were cheaters)

Gophers football haven't been apart of a major bowl game since the rose bowl in 1960.

Vikes havn't been to a championship since 1977?

Twins haven't since 1991.

Wild, never, T-Wolves, never.

North Stars somehow made it to the Stanley Cup in 1991 and lost...

Shh, until about June when LeBron Destroys the Lakers.

Even so, at least the Indians were good in the 1990s.

College hockey doesn't count. It's sort of on the same level as college baseball, in that the best players around that age are usually in some minor or junior league somewhere.

College hockey is definitely not on the same level as baseball. Hockey is a big deal here and in ND.

College baseball's appeal is regional, much like college hockey's appeal is regional. College hockey is even more regional. The Frozen Four isn't even nationally televised, but the CWS IS.

I know it's not FOX and ESPN sucks but it is on ESPN and the ESPN2. Baseball does not make money for the NCAA. Hockey does with the other 2. The rest all suck up money.

P.S. when Norm Green dies if not already burning, my dog and I will visit his lovely gate and pay our steaming respects! I was 8 when the Stars left. Not a very big Mild fan!
