Hey, i am currently trying to find the best dmv to take my road test at. The first time i went to arden hills & failed because i "didn't look enough" but i remember looking both ways. The instructor i had was a huge b**** & was in an awful mood. Heard Chaska is good but its about 45 mins away... Anyone know of any closer places to Minneapolis (NE)? Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind that most people haven't taken the test at multiple locations to be able to compare and contrast nearby locations for you. I took the test once 12 years ago in Anoka and it seemed like an adequate establishment, for whatever it's worth.

Most people here in the Western Suburbs seem to prefer the Chaska location over the Plymouth location.

The one in Eagan will be closer for you. As far as experience there, I passed on my first try as did my oldest son. One thing I remember from all those years ago is you really have to exaggerate your looking at intersections.

I also failed at Arden Hills. I tried Anoka and did very well. I reccomend not doing the closed courses. They aren't marked as well as real streets.
