I am relocating to either red wing or stillwater and need advice on the area. I do property management and real estate industry and looking to possibly live on site and manage a place or find nearby housing.

Red wing looks like its a prettier area, but stillwater is closer for jobs in the cities area. HELP.. any advice? Which town has better job possibilities, better places to live, I like that these towns are scenic and have teenaged kids that live out of area but come home for visits in summer and xmas etc. I hope to work in town I live in but worst case scenario i live closer to bigger cities with more options, but I drive a v8 4.6L engine suv, gas guzzler so hoping to keep the commute time down, especially for winter driving, I live in south MN now. I love to shop at walmart, jcpenney and maurices, do these town have them, and I like my fast food, burger king, kfc and red lobster restaurant...

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you give me, I appreciate the help...

Stillwater will have more opportunities for you being a larger town and closer to the cities. They do have quite a bit of shopping right in Stillwater but for those specific stores you will have to go to Maplewood Mall, which isn't far. Red Wing is a nice area but it is fairly remote but there is nothing wrong with that.

Stillwater will have more job opportunities, because it's a suburb of the Cities. Red Wing is further out, so it will have fewer opportunities than Stillwater (unless you're willing to commute to the Cities). Stillwater has the stores you're looking for, and there is more shopping just west in Maplewood.

Given your criteria Stillwater would be the obvious choice.
