I'm planning to move to Eden Prairie this coming month, I'm wondering how long would it take me to drive from Eden Prairie to The University of Minnesota, I need to be there by 7:30AM. Also, I assume there is substantial traffic at that time.

Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks

Sorry, not sure about how long (so hope someone else from that area will jump in with an answer, but yes, expect some congestion at that time of day), but if this is going to be a regular commute you may want to give serious consideration to taking the bus; parking at the U is a hassle, and there are lots of express buses that could save you time, energy, and money. I assume there's a park-and-ride lot in Eden Prairie (or maybe it's a transit center; in any case, there's a central place to park and get on the bus), and I have often seen SouthWest Transit buses picking up at the U. If you'll be working or going to school at the U you can use your U-pass. It could make life much easier if you'll be going in and out during rush hour.

Thanks for your advise. I'll definitely consider the express buses that you mentioned. I'm sure it will save me time and money!
