Thanks for the help
I remember what they were like when I lived in McElroy (E, G, and H) quite some time ago, but I think they've been renovated somewhat since the 80's.

Minnesota State Mankato or Mankato State?

Is "Minnesota State" catching on yet? I'm a Gen x'r and refer to it as Mankato State.

I just never hear Minnesota State...same with Moorhead...most people refer to it as Moorhead state.

The official name is the former these days, but I find the reason behind the choice of the new name to be rather annoying.

To me it will always be Mankato State. Go Mavs! Kick some Gustavus, er, behind!

I used to live in Mankato, and people still call it Mankato State. There are several colleges called "Minnesota State University," so it makes sense. I guess they changed it to sound more "prestigious."
