We have a walkout basement and I'm sure that doesn't help.

At this point I'm not all that interested in a chemical solution. I'm more into a mechanical solution There are two main areas of our lower level where I see them, and it's almost always at the same time, between 9pm and 11pm. I now expect to see one when I go downstairs, so I've got a flip-flop at the ready, and I leave my shop-vac plugged in right in the area. This two-stage attack induces shock and awe.

I do wonder where they hide during the day. The only cool/damp area is our crawl space, but I have a fan that cycles on and off in there, which they can't possibly like.
Shock and awe. I like that. I've been free of the varmint since a week now. Saw one about a week ago in the basement bathroom and sprayed the freak with Home Defender and he croaked right in from of me and I stomped him.

Humidity seems to be a issue with them appearing up more.

They do make my blood curdle to this day after 30 years of dealing with them.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Minnesota as well as elsewhere experiencing floods or other disasters! I hope that the flood water recedes soon. I know that you're Minnesotans, you're strong and can get through anything but I still hope that everything gets better soon!

Getting chilly outside, wont be long now for sure.

I'm actually surprised at how nice October turned out to be this year. And the colors seemed to last a very long time this year also. Compared to some falls when they only seem to last about a week or so, cold windy rainy, but this October was really very pleasant, we did not even get a cold day did we?

This sucks. Didn't have a Spring this year. Summer was fine (nice and mild). But having a blast of snow this harsh this early after last Winter is stinging.
