No No No~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My boots are still packed away as are my winter coats. 2020 really sucks. Found my shovel though - that's the good news.

What are you guys seeing? Any webcam links?

Current radar. SNOW! Looks like 2-5" accumulated in Southwestern MN there.

1" per hour rates in some spots. https://twitter.com/NWSSiouxFalls

Here's a link to a local & MN news: https://kstp.com/weather/

I was outside raking - most of the remaining leaves came down plus I have a N catalpa - big elephant ear leaves and it's about 30" tall - well, most of those came down so I was raking - in the snow. The Fedex guy stopped and said "Donn' bother - it's too cold. It will be 50s next week." I came in and checked several sites and I don't see any 50s next week.

We should get 4-5 here in the metro.

Nice. I thought your leaves would be down already. We got color here but not at peak yet.

Current radar with snowfall total reports. I see many 6-8" reports. I know October snow isn't rare in MN but I want to check how rare it is to get half foot mid October.

Here it is... Today's storm could produce near record October daily snowfall amounts across the area

https://twitter.com/NWSTwinCities/st...22548666445825

The numbers here represent the most snowfall that fell in 1 day on those dates. So if Minneapolis gets more than 3" today than it will be Top 3 biggest October daily snowfall

This is a couple weeks early for the big dump. My phone broke or I would take a picture - orange/red leaves still on the maple against all the white - quite pretty. It will be quite a mess in spring if this stuff doesn't melt.

The news guy just said 3"-5" and maybe 7" in some spots. I shoveled 3" at about 2:30p and there's at leas 2 more out there.

"OFFICIAL MSP airport total: 7.4” more in south metro (8”+), less north metro. It’s the second largest October snow (behind oct 31, 1991) & earliest big snow on record! One for the books!"
