Just some snow piles left here, they have been melting the last few days. A sting of 40's predicted for next week. Interesting how one winter is so extremely different than the last. Its about -50 or colder in much of the Alaska interior today (actual temp). Looks like winter is staying bottled up and concentrated north of Manitoba. http://weather.unisys.com/surface/sf...na&inv=0&t=cur

No, I think the law states that if we have a nice winter, we are supposed to have a cold and crappy March - May.

50 degrees today . . . this weather is absurd. This has been more like a Georgia or a Tennessee winter than what is typical for Minnesota. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see green grass before the end of February and the first flowers / leaves by early March. We may be done with winter, and the calendar still says January.

I'm seriously considering taking the mower deck of the rider and putting the snow thrower on one of these days...I really mean it this time!

Oh come now. I'm sure we will get nailed with a few arctic blasts yet in February. Feb and early March can be either downright brutal or nice. I think its supposed to cool off after this week anyway.
55F here already this afternoon!
