Our snow pack is long gone. It went away about a week ago already (and started the last day of February). So it was here for about a week anyway. What a change from last year
Rain today, sunny and 70F tomorrow and the rest of the week.

It's going to be 73 degrees today, March 14th. So tell me, what is the temp going to be in July? That is the scary thing.

There isn't a direct correlation. Last year we had a horrible spring, cold, wet, yuck. Mid-July it was in the 125+ range with heat index.

This day last year it was 26 degrees

will probably be a disastrous year for the apple (and fruit) orchards in the area as the early blooms are certain to be wiped out with a killer frost at some point.

It's sunny and 63 degrees here in Remer (North Central). I went looking for flowers that may be coming up this morning. Nothing yet, but it looks likely.

Got up to 68 at the Duluth Int'l Airport today, handily beating the old record of 60. 35 degrees above the average of 33. Was also at 68 in Cloquet and 69 in Superior (exceeding the record of 55 set in 1981 by 14 degrees!).

Because of the cold lake's influence, it only reached 57 in Sky Harbor, but that still beat the record of 55.

The warmest it seems to have gotten in Minnesota today was 75F in Red Wing.

Looks like there'll be a brief cool-down tomorrow ("cool down" as in 53/37, with the forecast low temperature exceeding the average high temperature), followed by a return of the warmth, with 70F possible, if not probable, during the weekend or the beginning of next week.

I could really live with this
