I know it has been 20 years since the last year a Minnesota team WON a Title - that of the Twins in 1991, or even reach the championship round (which the North Stars also did that same year only to lose in 6 to the Penguins). This troubling sports drought has led some folks out there to believe Minnesota's professional sports teams are "cursed" as a whole.

Anyway out of the four teams, who do you think will be the first to break the BIG Minnesota championship drought? Is it the Vikings? Twins? Wild? Timberwolves? And why do you say so? Any die hard Minnesota sports fanatic care to elaborate? Thanks!

Los Angeles (either the Lakers or Vikings) or maybe the Dallas Stars again

Ugh! Right now that is a tough question. I'm going to say the Twins.

With the current way the NBA is set up I don't ever see the Timberwolves winning an NBA championship. I know nothing about hockey so I can't comment on the Wild. The Vikings and Twins both have the potential to compete for a title in any given year but it's really impossible to say when either could do it in the near future. I'd probably say the Vikings have the best chance because even if the Twins field another really good team they still have to overcome teams with much deeper pockets like the Yankees and Redsox...not an impossible task but unlike the Vikes in the NFL the Twins will never be on an equal-level playing field with the big-market teams, which puts them at a serious disadvantage.

Hey, how about the Lynx? Might be our only hope for a basketball championship.

The Lynx, of course!

The WNBA playoffs start tomorrow and the Lynx play at Target Center this Friday 9/16. Tip-off at 8 pm.

The Twins just bought 500 upper level seats to that Lynx game and are giving them away FREE.

With a season record at 27 wins / 7 losses, the Lynx finished the regular season 6 games ahead of the next closest team.

Lots to love about the Lynx!
