Yes, we have a gang task force but they are for the whole county, (one of the largest in the lower 48 that also buts up to Canada)
Mostly they catch the locals trying to make meth or someone trying to grow pot.

The border patrol has seen a increase in personal too.

Does Duluth have street gangs roaming the streets
NO.
We have locals who are want-a-be gangsters and locals panhandling.

We do get some gangsters who try to set up shop and sell drugs.
They last 6mo at most.
The local dealers don't like their turf infringed on by outsid gangsters.

You can walk the streets at night.

Yes I agree and thankfully Duluth is a safe town not having roving street thugs is a good thing Those standing downtown can you spare .50cents? at least smoking in bus stops you get a fine if caught lol

Duluth seems a little bit more "hard" compared to the rest of Minnesota, (more like the Rust Belt cities of Cleveland, Detroit, etc.) it's probably one of the few places you will find much gang activity.

There is a couple gangs there is TDG (take down gang) EKG (eight key gangsta Crips) led by EKG Doyle aka Doyle Martin. But TDG is no doubt the most know one but ekg is on the rise. I know that Doyle’s father was in ekg and moved from Milwaukee to St. Paul and Doyle moved down to Duluth west end. I don’t know much about TDG sadly
