I am done with the hot weather, and ready to put on my snowpants, go skiing, play broomball, and drink hot chocolate. When do you think we will experience the first snowfall in Southern Minnesota (meaning the Twin Cities, and points south)?

You have to be more specific--are you talking ANY snow, a couple inches that stays for more than a day, a 3' snowfall?

does this include the metro 7-county area? or just Minneapolis? What about way out west in Lac qui Parle County in towns like Dawson? They usually see snow first because that's usually where the weather comes from.

I would probably say any point south of St. Cloud.

I am hoping we will see our first snow on December 24th!
Someone at my office picked Oct 13th a few months ago, that's not going to happen.

I am thinking the second to last or the last week of November for measurable snow.

There is a widely held prediction amongst the egg-heads of another La Nina cycle that appeaers to be strengthening in the Northern Hemisphere. I took the time to study this advisory and did so in Spanish even though I can't really read Spanish. Even so, I trhink it's safe to say that the first "measurable" snowfall in the Twin Cities will occur on November 14th starting at about 1511 (CST) near I94 and Weaver Lake Rd.
