She is crazy. I am wondering why Minnesota seems to elect such a nut. Perhaps you can all enlighten me.

Minnesota didn't elect her. She isn't a Senator. Minnesota's 6th congressional district did. Since all of my friends and family live in Hennepin, Ramsey, or Dakota county, I don't have any folks to talk to about it.

I sure wouldn't vote for her, so I can't really say why people would find her appealing.

I know a number of people both in MN and down here in GA who don't study the issues at all and tend to simply vote along party lines ... perhaps that explains some of them? Or maybe the rural areas around St. Cloud have a lot of conservatives?

I still dont get it. Even if you are conservative, and a republican, can you not see that she is crazy, and a hypocrite? Does it make you blind to obvious logic?

I cannot answer this question. As a native Minnesotan, seeing her as the last potential presidential candidate from MN, and having to explain her to my friends here in GA has been ... difficult.

When I care to think about it, I am about as far in ideology as seemingly possible from Bachmann. Even so, how can you be so presumptuous as to deny crazy hypocrites their right to representation in Washington?!

It is sad when even people in GA think your candidate is too nutty.

Please quote me on where I said she, or her constituents, should be denied representation.

I just wanted to have a intelligent discussion with some of her constituents and try to understood the mindset of her district. I assume that some of them have an internet connection and know how to use it.

I have a better idea, why don't we discuss how the people of West Virginia continued to elect this racist, proud member of the KKK for 57 years? Or, maybe you should go bark up someone elses tree?

Oh, c'mon. Give the OP the benefit of the doubt, or this will quickly head in a direction that leads to thread lockage.

I think that people in MN know she's a little nutty, but in her conservative district, they'd rather have a conservative who does next to nothing, than a liberal who'll try to do too much. If that makes any sense.

Also, she's one of those bible thumpers, so she pretty much automatically gets the conservative Christian and pro-life votes.
