Are there factories or something in Corcoran making the air quality index so bad? It was 55, while Minneapolis was 35. I'd expect Minneapolis to be worse.

That would make sense. W/ all of the livestock creating excess amounts of methane it is creating a doming effect over the area holding all sorts of livestock and farm machinery nastiness in. Good call Dustingirl.

Since the scale runs from 0-500, and 100 is the national air quality standard, there would appear to be no appreciable difference between 35 and 55. IOW the AQI is BS.

Haha, sure. It was said in jest. What are the chances that whomever was taking the reading did it when a truck was nearby idling or something. I have no idea how these readings are taken.
