In Minnesota? Same as everywhere else. Populated areas will have multiplexes, tiny towns may not have anything.

In my town (pop about 8,000) we have an 8-plex theater.

Minneapolis/St. Paul will have the usual array of mega-plexes (stadium seating and that sort of thing) found in any other big metro area.

stadium seating=rows of seats that are positioned higher than the row in front of them, kind of like "steps" (similar to a stadium) as opposed to more "old school" movie theaters where the floor is just slightly sloped upward toward the back and if you're a short person sitting behind a tall person (or someone with a big hat) you can't see.

Sorry, I worked at a movie theater for 7 years back in high school/college...too much "shop talk" I guess, lol.

Yes? Yes, we have movie theaters. Is that what you mean??

Heck, our quaint northern state even has phones, TV's and radios too! Some folks even have those newfangled cell phones and computers! Geez Louise, we've sure come a long way since the Paul Bunyan days, haven't we?

MBreeze--I heard tell that some of the houses even have those water closets in 'em now so you don't have to use the outhouse anymore. Sure sounds good on those chilly January mornings.

Yep Red, you're right!

In fact, we just turned our outhouse into a nice woodshed. We're just about done splittin' logs for the winter and the potbelly stove is ready for action! Still need to stock up on kerosene for the lamps though, and those snowshoes could use a mendin' too. Better get my long underwear on and go see Lars Hansen down at the general store before the snow files!
